It's the Westminster Elite's Hatred of Democracy That's Driving their Hatred of Scotland

I want to remind you of something I have told you before, when I speak about the Scots I am speaking about the people who live in Scotland, regardless of race, ethnicity, country of origin, or how long they have been resident. If they live here, if they vote here, even if they don't vote, they are Scottish in my book, and what affects Scotland economically, politically and socially affects us all equally. I now want to remind you of something else I have told you before, that the notion that Britain is a democratic society would be funny were it not so tragically wrong.

Great Britain is anything but great. It is a deeply divided class society, elitist and very exclusive. By exclusive I mean that the British spend most of their energies excluding people and make little attempt to include them. The British elite go to inordinate lengths to exclude great swathes of people from meaningful participation in society and indulge in a truly tragic waste of talent and ability on the basis of class, ethnicity, gender, colour and religion. Just look at the Westminster gang, ask yourself how many working class representatives are elected by the party of labour, the party funded by the trades unions. In addition we exclude people on the basis of accent, post code, the type of school they attended etc. The first question that our ruling elite ask of someone is "are they one of us?"  That, by the way, was admitted by Thatcher and was the iron criteria for advancement under Blair. Britain's greatest institution of representation, the Westminster Parliament, is recognised as one of the most unrepresentative institutions in the developed world.

Westminster politicians pay the normal lip service to democracy but they hate it with a vengeance, why? because they belong to a particular elite that has controlled power and decision making in Britain throughout its history and are determined that nothing will be allowed to alter that situation. Britain did indulge in a democratic experiment for about 25 years following the Second World War and made real attempts to make decisions on behalf of the people of the country. To that experiment we owe the NHS, the Welfare State, comprehensive education, access to university etc. However, that experiment limited the ability of the elite to rob the Treasury, amass inordinate wealth, and exercise the amount of power they demand should be theirs. As a result they declared all out war on democracy and the society that was attempting to provide a decent and acceptable standard of living for the majority. They were very successful and that is why they still deify Thatcher, their greatest general and a quite wicked person.

However, they are now being challenged by a great democratic revival in Scotland. This was driven by an alteration to the Scots electoral system which gave voice to those who had previously been unable to be heard, and to the fact that Scotland's systemic exclusion had become so graphic that the Scots said that enough was enough. These changes gave the Scots the understanding that they could effect meaningful change. Democracy was suddenly possible again with politicians being accountable for the first time in living memory. This latest drive has been further fuelled by Scotland's anger at Labour who have determined to embed Scotland's exclusion by insisting that we accept our subservient status under the Westminster system and the first-past-the-post voting system that ensures that this subservience will continue. The Scots have challenged Labour's power base and for that they will have to be defeated. That is the great alliance that unites Labour and the Tories. Never forget, Labour is controlled by Tories, those Tories who calculated that there were not enough opportunities for advancement within the Conservative Party and who therefore simply borrowed a new suit to join the club. The days when Labour were a party of working people are long gone, and that is the real democratic deficit in this sorry country. All Westminster parties represent the same group of people and the greatest number of our population are excluded, we have no one to represent us. That is changing in Scotland and is not going to go away. That is what is fuelling Westminster's open hatred of the Scots, we are daring to challenge their monopoly on power, we are no longer doffing our caps to a shower of elite gangsters. Indeed if I had a the choice between Cameron, Osborne, Miliband, or Tony Soprano and Nucky Thomson, I would have difficulty deciding who was the most honourable and honest. You have been warned.

Independence? its becoming inevitable thanks to its opponents

I have often commented on the stupidity of the British political class. In addition, I warned you some posts ago that the Scots had better brace themselves for an inevitable storm of quite vicious propaganda coming from the Westminster gang. However, even I have been quite taken aback by the levels of hatred and bile that have been spewing out of Westminster and through its abominable media supporters. Even the BBC have descended into Scotophobia. I watched with a growing anger at the Newsnight reporter Laura Kuenssberg descending very close to racism as her hatred could barely be contained when she interviewed Nicola Sturgeon.

This situation is quite racist because the hatred has transcended beyond the SNP as a party and is now openly directed against everything Scottish. David Cameron is a desperate man and has exposed himself as the disgusting creature I have warned you that he is. The Scots who support the SNP are no longer seen as opponents, they are now openly described as the enemy, and an enemy that must be destroyed at all costs. The Tories, and many Labour people as well, are openly questioning the legitimacy of Scottish votes? I mean, these are the people who were telling us how much they loved us last September, how valued we were, how we were all a family. Cameron is truly despicable and his gang are beyond contempt, telling us that this situation is similar to the situation when the man about to be crowned king in 1936 was a self-confessed Nazi.

The latest polls indicate that 79% of the Scottish electorate intend to cast their vote in May as opposed to 48% of the rest of the UK. As far as Westminster are concerned, these votes will not be accepted as legitimate unless the Scots vote for one of the Westminster parties. Now if that doesn't smack of Nazism I don't know what does?

Despite all of this constant stream of hatred, I am loving it. What these political imbeciles are doing is ramping up the unintended consequences of intentional action. I hardly speak to a soul now who isn't genuinely disgusted at what is going on and becoming more determined than ever to vote to get away from these people. I am becoming quite convinced that regardless of the result next month, independence is merely on hold. Nothing is certain, but you cannot maintain a constant stream of hatred and demonization of people without inevitable consequences. I want you to note that so far, Labour is doing nothing to stem this tide of hateful propaganda or to come to the defence of the legitimacy of Scottish votes, regardless of who these votes are for. The only people who have
openly condemned what Westminster are doing are the Democratic Unionists in Ulster. In conclusion I also want you to note that only people who are fundamentally quite stupid would conduct themselves in such a manner and believe that what they are doing will work in their favour. These are the people seeking your vote next month. You have been warned.

The following represent the ruling class in this sorry country

Continuing the analysis of the despicable propaganda of the Westminster shower and their craven minions in the media I make no apology for reproducing an excellent summary that appeared in the comments section of the Guardian. I trust its author will forgive me if he/she happens upon my use of this material. It speaks volumes for the sheer panic caused by the Scottish electorate and of the visceral hatred that these people who are very influential in this country harbour for the Scots and anyone who threatens their dominance. Various people have likened the following;

Alex Salmond is like

1) Slobodan Milosevic - Denis McShane (ex labour MP)
2) Benito Mussolini - Lord Foulkes (Labour peer)
3) Adolf Hitler - Anne Moffat (Labour MP), Tom Williams (Labour MP), David Starkey (Historian?)
4) Joseph Stalin - Alan Cochrane (journalist, Telegraph)
5) Robert Mugabe - Lord Cormack (Conservative peer), Jeremy Paxman (BBC)
6) Kim Jong 2 - Lord Forsyth (Conservative peer)
7) Caligula - John Macleod (the Times)
8) Nicolai Ceausescu - Neil Collins (The Financial Times)
9) Genghis Khan - Kevin McKenna (the Observer)
10) Nero - Annabel Goldie (Conservative leader MSP)

Nicola Sturgeon
1) "Will Sturgeon turn out to be as annoying as Salmond" Ian Martin (the Telegraph)
2) Lady Macbeth - Boris Johnson
3) "The most dangerous woman in the world" - Piers Morgan (journalist and editor)
SNP leadership in general
1) Chairman Mao - Nicholas Clegg (Lib Dem MP)
2) Manifesto launch like the Nuremberg rally - Ian Martin (journalist, on Twitter)

Katie Hopkins in the Sun has compared Nicola Sturgeon to Ebola.

Scots in general
1)"Deluded" - Bruce Anderson (the Telegraph)
2) "a bit dim" - Chris Deerin (Daily Mail)
3) "a hard hunk of bone stretching from ear to ear" - Bruce Anderson (the Telegraph)

I note again what I said in another post. Such people above are presented to us as educated. However, an educated person has far more self-respect than stoop to such depths of bile and hatred. I myself must also apologise for describing such people as vermin in the past, because real vermin are much more noble and decent than those above. So, I apologise to any genuine vermin for comparing them to such people. I also wish you to note the open contempt that the Tory press exhibit for the Scottish people who are deluded, dim and brainless. That, I trust you will agree, is naked racism. These are the people who are seeking your vote in May. You have been warned.

There are liars and then there are the Westminster elite

I have been warning you that as we get closer to May 7th we would see a quite remarkable propaganda campaign by the Westminster elite and its lackeys in the media against the Scots. I say the Scots because the situation is verging on the ridiculous and the hatred and bile from Westminster has been extended beyond the SNP to embrace all the people living in Scotland. The Scots have now become a feral and dangerous people who cannot be trusted to vote rationally.

We are witnessing daily, the real Westminster mindset and the reason why British politics is truly broken and, for the foreseeable future, incapable of meaningful reform. What is it that Westminster and the British media are telling us? They spent two years telling the Scots how valued we are to the union. How we are a family, how respected and necessary to the health of the nation we are. Since the start of this election campaign we have been transformed into monsters, people who threaten the health and the very existence of civilisation. We had the spectacle of the Daily Mail telling us that Nicola Sturgeon is a megalomaniac. The Daily Mail has a track record of understanding megalomania, this is the newspaper who openly supported Hitler before the Second World War and told us that he was a great man who would be the answer to Europe's problems. The Daily Mail sympathises with fascism. That is why no decent person should ever buy a Daily Mail. As I consistently remind you, these people have neither shame nor decency.

What Westminster is also telling us is that if the Scots don't vote the way that they want us to vote then those votes are illegitimate, that if the SNP in Parliament support measures that are of benefit to the people who elected them to do just that, or oppose measures that are not in Scotland's interests, then they will be guilty of blackmail. Westminster is telling us that if Labour or the Tories send a majority of MPs to Westminster from Scotland then that is good and democratic, but if they send a majority of SNP MPs then that is unacceptable, undemocratic and tantamount to blackmail. In other words, what Westminster is telling us is that their narrative is the only acceptable narrative and there will be, as they have been telling us since Thatcher first stepped into Downing Street, no alternative. What has become alarming is that not only do they insist that there is no alternative, but they are now going to insist that no other alternative will be allowed.

The two major Westminster parties are organisations is decline, possibly terminal decline. They have destroyed a decent compassionate society and people are at last increasingly saying enough. In their death throes they are becoming desperate. In addition, the British media would actually prefer that the poor, the unemployed, the disabled and the unfortunate continue to suffer from Westminster's austerity, the cuts to benefits and the disintegration of the NHS than contemplate any change to the system they are so devoted to and that serves them so well at everyone else's expense. They are truly disgusting. You have been warned.

Labour's annihilation is essential for the democratic health of the nation

Readers of this blog will be well aware how I loath the Labour Party. There are various reasons for this but the principal reason is that Labour are a giant fraud, they are simply a living lie, the great betrayers. If the Tories have one saving grace it is that every Tory knows within themselves that they are utter scum. They are unprincipled, elitist, immoral, devoid of any decency and humanity and are totally contemptious of the rest of us whom they consider exist simply to provide for them. The big lie with Labour is that they pretend to be different when in reality the Labour Party has been taken over lock stock and barrel by Tories.

I grew up in a society where the Labour Party could reasonably claim to represent working people. It was always a capitalist party of business, but at least it made an effort to cater for working people's basic needs, and it built the welfare state. In any event, that party is long gone dead and buried. I've told you before that when Mad Tony was standing for the leadership of Labour I wrote to many people predicting that he would effectively destroy the Labour Party. I think I must have been the only person in Britain who took him at his word when he said that he was going to kill the party he was hoping to lead and create an entirely new party whilst retaining the name, Labour. People conveniently forget that Mad Tony called his party New Labour. Old Labour was assassinated and quietly buried. He killed and buried Labour's constitution and changed its rules. There is no Labour Party today there is only Mad Tony's creature, the party that not only feels completely relaxed about people being filthy rich, but is equally completely relaxed about people being filthy poor. This is the party that ushered in the financial collapse, that began the privatisation of the health service, that gave us ATOS, zero-hours contracts, war, torture and rendition, amongst other disasters.

What is happening in Scotland is that people have finally rumbled the Labour fraud and are turning away from them in disgust. We had the spectacle yesterday of the London leadership firmly slapping down their Scottish leader Jim Murphy and showing him up for the liar that he is. Despite the fact that we have an institution laughingly called the Scottish Labour Party, no such thing exists in reality. It was the last Labour leader of the Scottish party, Johann Lamont, who told us that Scottish Labour are nothing more than a branch office and that Murphy was a backstabbing bully, those were her words, not mine. As far as Scotland is concerned, Scottish Labour will only do exactly what they are told by London. Indeed, as is well-known, Murphy is a prominent member of the Henry Jackson Society which describes itself as neoconservative. That means that Murphy is in fact to the right of the present Tory party, and this is the man who claims to represent the Scottish working people. Murphy is the prototypical Labour fraudster, very much a ravening wolf in sheep's clothing. Therefore, regardless of the propaganda that only Labour can save us from the Tories, the truth is that regardless of who wins the Westminster election, Scotland will be at the mercy of one form of Tory or another, and that is what the Scottish people are beginning to realise. When Mad Tony became leader, Labour committed itself to one single policy goal, power at any cost. Whatever is necessary to gain power and to keep it, Labour will commit to, and if that means shafting the Scots and lying through their teeth as we saw with the famous vow, then that is exactly what they will do, and I repeat without apology, that is the spirit of Westminster, they are all the same.

People continually tell me that Murphy, Miliband, etc. are educated people. Wrong I tell them, they are perhaps well schooled, but they are self-evidently not well educated, and there is a large difference between being schooled and being educated. The tragedy is that any democratic society is only as healthy as its democratic process. Scotland needs a vibrant and authentic party of working people. Even if we get independence, we will need a healthy party system, we need choice, we need genuine competition for votes, we need an intelligent and well educated opposition for whoever is in government. There is no possibility for any competent politics from either the present Tory, Labour or Lib/Dem political personnel, and that is a tragedy for every citizen of this country. Before Labour can begin any form of process of renewal and competence, it will have to be thoroughly humiliated and purged of the gangsters who compose its ruling clique. That is the challenge facing the Scottish electorate. Labour cannot, under any circumstance, be trusted in its present form. You have been warned.

If you have a vote it is vital that you use it!

I am continually reading reports that young people are most unlikely to vote in the coming election. That is understandable but is very sad. Most adults are dismissive of young people, expecting them to do as they are told and to hold the same opinions as their parents. In addition, it is usual for young people to ignore politics as they are far more involved in doing what young people do. I know that when I was a teenager I had no interest in politics, I voted, but simply voted as my parents did.

I do find, however, that young people are more engaged today than when I was young. Various factors are resonsible for this, unemployment, the introduction of tuition fees, terrorism etc. What appears to be happening is that this is not being translated into a decision to cast a vote. An overwhelming reason for this seems to be the appalling state of British politics and the tragedy that is the choice being offered to young people in the personnel that they are presented with. How can any young person be motivated by Cameron, Miliband, Farage etc.? One caveat to this scenario is the effects of the Scottish referendum that was a definite motivator as it gave young people's vote a definite focus with a discernible outcome; whether they were for or against independence they knew that their vote mattered and would produce a result they could identify with. In addition, they were given a choice by people they could identify with and who looked real.

Everyone who can, should vote. Why?

People who are active in politics are by definition more extreme in their views and opinions than other people. In addition, people who are activists will always vote. Actual votes cast at elections are the only real signals that politicians get from society. Polls and articles by commentators and the chattering classes may point to trends and possibilities, but it is votes cast by real people that signals the political reality. As a result if ordinary people fail to cast a vote, and particularly younger ordinary people, then the only signals that the elected politicians will get will be from the activists, which is actually a distortion of political reality, but becomes the dominant political reality. I remind you, that the impetus behind the recent Scottish Independence referendum was a reaction by Scots people against what they saw as a genuine distorted political reality as it affected Scotland. Now, one of the dangerous trends in modern British politics is the ever shrinking number of people actually casting a vote. To repeat, activists always vote and so as the number of people actually voting continues to decrease, then the influence of the activists, and therefore the extremists, grows. That is why modern public policy becomes increasingly extreme and disgusting to the ordinary voter who responds by retreating from political participation and telling the political class, a plague on all your houses.

It is quite acceptable to vote against something. If you disagree with something, such as tuition fees, then vote against it by sending the signal to the political class that you will not support a candidate from whatever party who supports the measure you are opposed to. You don't need to be for something, you can be legitimately against something. Whatever your reason for voting, it will dilute the effect of the activist vote and will lead to a more balanced approach to public policy. Make no mistake, the Westminster parties would prefer you not to vote if you are not voting for them. Don't fall for this. Make a decision on who or what you are for or against and vote accordingly. That is democracy and the bedrock of a civilised society. It is your right, don't let other people deny you that right. You have been warned.

Send the Westminster armies homeward to think again

I apologise for failing to post for a week but I was away and unavailable. This post may seem a bit dated but I want to bring to your attention how the election campaign is progressing just like I told you it would. We have now had Westminster and its lackeys in the media and the civil service telling outrageous lies about Nicola Sturgeon. This lie was so blatant that it prompted the French government to intervene and reveal that the information released by Westminster was indeed a bare faced lie. Despite the denials by all parties concerned, the Daily Mail continued to promote this lie thus effectively calling both the Scottish and French governments liars. The only light at the end of this scandalous tunnel is that it has now spectacularly backfired on them and shows us the extent of their fear and hatred of the consequences that their mismanagement of the nation has aroused in Scotland.

On Thursday night's Question Time we had the spectacle of one of the most right-wing commentators in Britain, Peter Hitchens, accusing the Tories of lying about the so-called economic recovery and showing how the Prime Minister does not know the difference between the deficit and the National Debt. He actually sounded a bit like me when he described the two major parties as walking corpses telling us that they are both dying and exist by holding each other up. Things must be bad when someone like Hitchens loses all patience with the two major parties and calls for a fundamental reform of the political system.

Another aspect of Question Time was when a member of the audience who was self-evidently a Tory, demanded that the Labour representative on the panel, the appalling Andy Burnham, give a categorical assurance that Labour would not enter into any form of coalition with the SNP after the election. He made this demand five times. Now, I have told you repeatedly that I support the SNP, not because I am a nationalist, but because the SNP are the only mechanism at the moment that will enable Scotland to get away from Westminster. Therefore, when I vote in May, I will be voting in a British national election, for a British political party who are quite legally and legitimately contesting this election. I will be voting as a British citizen. However, for too many English people, all of those qualifications are simply ignored and dismissed as immaterial and unacceptable. Regardless of how many British citizens vote for the SNP, English voters are demanding that their votes are more valid and more important than mine and that if my vote leads to an outcome that they disagree with it should not be allowed. I mean, who do these people think they are that they can demand that regardless of the wishes of the people who vote for a party, that party must not obey these wishes because it does not sit with their vision of how Britain should be governed? I was down in England over the weekend and was discussing how English political attitudes to the Scots are bordering on the racist. I had to remind them that a significant number of the Scottish voting public are not Scots, as Scotland is a genuine multiracial and multicultural society. Finally, it would also surprise you the amount of English voters who tell me they wish they could vote SNP. It is to be hoped that the Tories and Lib/Dems are wiped out in Scotland next month and that Labour gets such a hammering that all those Westminster parties are sent homeward to think again. You have been warned.

The Westminster lies just keep flooding out

I  have written here before about the much repeated lie that the government has created one and a half million new jobs. I find it quite remarkable that they are allowed to keep repeating this without any serious challenge. I think it is about time that I was allowed onto national television to confront these people.

For example, one of the first things that the Tories did, with Lib/Dem collusion, following the last election was to transfer over 200,000 employees in further education in England and Wales from the public sector to the private. This included all further education staff both academic and support staff. With a simple signature on a piece of paper, these people were designated as private sector employees after having been designated public sector since the second world war, and by doing that the Tories claimed that they had created over 200,000 new permanent jobs in the private sector. This was a quite outrageous lie, but has been allowed to take root and become accepted as fact. In addition, almost one-third of the so-called new jobs under this government are self-employed. Thus regardless of the circumstances of these people, with many of them having to claim benefits because they cannot get enough work, and being idle for long stretches, the Tories claim such people as being included in the new permanent workforce they are so proud to be responsible for. Many of these new, fulltime, permanent workers are the very people who are dependent on foodbanks. In addition, I would love to know how many other workers who were previously regarded as public sector have been similarly transferred to the private sector with the stroke of a pen and are now claimed to be new private sector permanent jobs by this government? Many people in the care and health services fall into this category as are people who work in such service industries as school dinners and cleaners who have been transferred to private firms under 'outsourcing' contracts.

I cannot repeat enough, a Westminster politician is a pathological liar and can never be trusted. If you happen to meet a candidate in this election who comes up to you and shakes your hand, you would be well advised to count your fingers immediately after. Both Labour and the Tories long ago abandoned the pretence of being Conservative and Labour. The Tories abandoned any pretence of conservatism when they elected Thatcher and have since sought to implement radical change in every area of life as fast as they can. They conserve nothing, not even their own core ideology. Labour abandoned the labour movement and working people even before they elected Mad Tony and have since spent all their energies trying to convince traditional Tories that they can represent them better than the Tory Party. Both Labour and Conservative parties define their narrow sectional interests as the national interest, and both of them regard any form of Scottish interest as a threat and an alien life form. If that Jim Murphy creature is all we have to put our faith in then we are truly lost. He would be quite at home in UKIP. The character and quality of representative that we are presented with by the two major parties is genuinely atrocious. They are inarticulate, incapable of independent thought and perfectly happy to lie through their teeth at every opportunity, or as Francie and Josie used to say at every opporchancity, and, make no mistake, none of them even begin to understand politics. You have been warned.
