Iraq, a catastrophe bred by the US and ourselves

It would genuinely be difficult to put together a more useless and incompetent group of people than the Westminster Parliament. I have continually shown their economic incompetence, and now the situation in Iraq highlights, not only a catastrophic foreign policy that has dominated for the past 20 years, but a deep seated criminality for which no-one has been held accountable. Thus, Westminster, and this includes all parties, has presided over a catastrophic economic as well as foreign policy disaster for the past 20 years, and people are continually trying to convince me that we would be Better Together. I genuinely must be missing something.

All this is happening at a time when the government is going out of its way to pick a fight with the Muslim community in the UK over extremism in schools, when their own inspectorate tells us that there is no evidence of this. It must not be forgotten that Westminster took schools out from under local authority control for most of their functions and that the government's hatred of Muslims is now manifesting itself at a local level.

All of this is a manifestation of the dominant economic system of free market neoliberalism that will not tolerate any constraints on its activities. The Iraq and Afghanistan disasters were implemented for economic reasons and there was no political strategy other than to eliminate barriers to US dominated economic hegemony. What we now see is the political effects of the unintended consequences of intentional human action. That is also what is happening in the school sector. The government set up academies to 'free' education from local authority control thus allowing them to slash local government budgets. They removed local politicians from the boards of these academies and in the state sector as well, leaving them open to be taken over by people they could neither control nor hold accountable. Thus, their free market agenda is now beginning to bite them back. The whole fault in Birmingham is of the government's own making.

On another note, I know it's too early for a rational judgment, but on last nights showing, Brazil will not win the World Cup. Most worrying was the appalling standard of refereeing. I am not a supporter of Croatia and wanted Brazil to win, but I had to feel sorry for the Croats who were robbed. My money is now on Spain but I hope Italy do well.

Gordon Brown, as the Scots say, a complete numpty!

The No campaign in Scotland are making wildly exciting noises about the intervention of Gordon Brown in the independence debate. I find this very strange given that this was the man who presided over the financial collapse, the man who was one of the key players in the New Labour disaster and who will go down as the worst Prime minister in living memory. Brown is demonstrably incompetent, completely untrustworthy and who sold out the working people of this country without a pang of conscience.

Since Thatcher entered Downing Street, Britain has been cursed with a quite appalling political class who represent no-one but themselves, and nobody embodies that more than Brown. He was Mad Tony's most loyal lieutenant and the champion of deregulation, Private Finance Initiatives, war and the demonization of the disadvantaged. I genuinely find it difficult to believe that anyone with a shred of intelligence can take anything this person says seriously.

The legacy of the Blair governments is plain to see in the slow death of the Labour Party which will most certainly never be missed, and nightly on our screens in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why Blair, Brown and their cohorts are not all serving lengthy prison sentences for their crimes is a mystery. But the most important effect should be the lessons for us of these people's stupidity, arrogance and recklessness. What has been achieved in both Iraq and Afghanistan is the exact opposite of what they set out to achieve. They are quite simply useless. Thus, the leading figures in the No and Better together campaigns are demonstrably incompetent both politically and economically. It is beyond dispute. Why on earth does anyone listen to such people?

Britain has abandoned civilised and decent behaviour

I have spoken about this before, but I am returning to it to try to get people to think about the state of the United Kingdom in todays society and I am stating quite clearly, that Britain has ceased to be a civilised society. I trust you are aware of the increasing use of sharp metal spikes driven into concrete to prevent homeless people from sleeping rough outside private accommodation. This is another example of the callousness and contempt for the disadvantaged that characterises this sorry country of ours. The British have succumbed to the philosophy of pure selfishness. This is of course a generalisation as there are still many charitable people and organisations doing good work and caring, but they are being increasingly overwhelmed by the problems created by the majority of the population who care nothing for anyone but themselves and who are happy to abandon the poor and the disadvantaged, the disabled the homeless etc. to whatever fate brings them, even if that is death. Increasing privatisation means that more and more services are only available if you can afford them, and that includes health, education, housing etc. If the British elite can, through the Westminster system, completely destroy the public sector they will. They have almost succeeded, and, if you cannot afford to live in such a society, then you will die, simples. I remind you, there are two point five empty properties in the UK for every homeless person, so, why is anyone homeless, and what kind of society tolerates such a situation? What kind of people have we become who create a situation like that and then blame it on Europe, immigrants, benefit scroungers etc.?

Britain used to be a society that cared for the poor and who attempted to provide a decent standard of living and working for the majority of its population. That situation only lasted a short while admittedly, but it was in place and showed what civilisation was and what a communal effort for other people could achieve. We achieved decent public services for everyone, in health, education, housing, benefits, unemployment insurance, decent and civilised working conditions and restraints on the powerful. People still got rich, they still enjoyed a standard of living that the rest can only dream about, but the majority benefited as well in their own modest way. The beginning of the end for a civilised society was the abolition of council housing and the furious Tory assault on employment rights and the right to strike. This was followed by a relentless programme of privatisation that has proven to be a complete failure. This process brought the UK the unenviable label of the most unequal society in the developed world, and that is a goal that was deliberately sought after. Make no mistake, that is Westminster's goal, regardless of what they attempt to tell us. It is no accident, nor did it happen despite attempts to do anything else. Britain is now reproducing modern conditions of slavery and will not rest until workers have no rights. I posted before how UKIP will abolish all workers rights, the Scottish Parliament and all human rights once they have achieved their goal of leaving the EU. This will now be accelerated within the Conservative Party as they seek to claw back the voters who deserted them for UKIP. In addition, Labour has again confirmed that they will implement all of the Tories planned austerity cuts if they win the next election. That is your future under Westminster. This appears to be what the English electorate support.

Inequality is stupid economics and has only one outcome, it transfers wealth from the bottom up. That is the policy behind British government since Thatcher stepped into Downing Street. This is not free market economics, it is piratical economics, it is the economics of the madhouse. If the majority of people do not have any more than enough to keep them in bare necessities, they cannot buy your goods. There is a solution, it is a civilised solution that can begin the process of repairing an uncivilised nation. It begins with voting for Independence in September. The only way to influence the barbarians that govern this society is to hit them where they will feel it most. Take away their power, transfer wealth and power back to where it will do some good instead of continually doing damage. You have been warned

When government goes too far you should be very afraid

I have persistently and consistently warned in this blog about the systematic removal of our rights. Today we learn that the government are going to try to people on terrorism charges in a completely secret trial where they are refusing to even reveal the names of the people charged, nor, and this is really alarming, will the result of the trial be made known. Let me say without any misunderstanding that there is no excuse imaginable for this conduct by the authorities. No authority in this country can be trusted to be fair or just. When they conduct themselves in this manner they should be held under the most rigid scrutiny and be forced to account for what in itself is a criminal act. It matters not a jot that they are acting legally, in cases such as this the law is completely wrong and is itself criminal. There can be no hope of any kind of justice in such a situation. In fact justice in this country is a joke and simply proves Thrasymachus' observation 3000 years ago that justice is simply the interests of the strongest. Trials of Irish so-called terrorists were a stitch-up by the authorities, the police lied through their teeth and the judiciary colluded to imprison wholly innocent people. The government lied through its teeth to secure a vote for war in Iraq. These official crimes are now demonstrable and historical fact. The people who perpetrate such abominations should never be trusted and never be allowed to pose as our protectors and guardians as they are in fact a far greater threat to our freedom than any so-called terrorist. In addition, every person living in the United Kingdom should be very afraid as this could happen to anyone. Make no mistake, the Westminster system of government will not rest until the people of this country have no rights whatsoever. You see, everything these people do, and this applies to all Westminster politicians, is the right thing to do for which there is no alternative. As you should be aware, this has been the constant refrain from Westminster since the first day Thatcher set foot in Downing Street.

If there is no alternative for anything then that thing is obviously the only choice available. It must be true and without challenge. This is the basis for totalitarianism. If there is only one way, then the only people who can be allowed into government are the people who know and understand that one way. Why do you think that governments now routinely denounce all challenges to their dominance as terrorism. You see, if you are challenging people who are doing the right and only thing that has no alternative, you are challenging the truth, you are by definition wrong, and the people you are challenging do not even need to demonstrate why you are wrong because it is self-evident. Indeed you are fortunate to even have a trial as you should quite obviously be removed from society as soon as possible. A trial is a luxury you don't deserve, and, make no mistake, that day is coming under this gang of imbeciles.

This is the future you can look forward to under the continued Westminster system. If you vote Better Together you are voting yourself into an increasingly totalitarian society. This secret trial is just the start. If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear is itself a lie. I ask you to imagine, if you displease the authorities in any way, for example by openly demonstrating against them. What is to stop them fabricating a case against you, refusing you an open trial, refusing to tell anyone your name or what your sentence is when you are found guilty as you most certainly will be? No-one, not even your immediate family will know what happens to you, you will simply be arrested and disappear off the face of the earth. Think that won't happen in Britain? You have been warned
